No pain, no gain!

That's the old saying, right? I hope it's right ;) My ankle has been acting up ever since I decided to jog last week. I have an appointment to see the Podiatrist, but of course he's on vacation right now. Lucky me! I never thought I'd be having problems with it 8 months later. I guess when he told me I did more damage then a break he wasn't kidding. Ugh! And let's not talk about the muscle that runs behind my knee cap (technical, huh?). It is soooo sore from yesterday's walk. I might need to re-think today's walk route ;)

  1. R.I.C.E - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. Ice several times a day and elevate... (I'm talking about for the knee, obviously your ankle sounds like a different-type injury.) I like to use those cheap re-useable ice packs and I ace-bandage them on to my injured/sore spot (99% of the time - my right shin). You can do it while you are sewing. Don't leave the ice on more than 20 minutes at a time.

  2. Yes, sadly the ankle is the cause of getting smashed between a boat and a dock last summer. OOPS! I'm hoping the Podiatrist can fit me for a good brace that will keep the pain under control. I have 60 miles to walk. There's no room for my ankle to hurt like this. haha!
